The origins of Corte Baruzzo date back to the 1400s, when it first appeared among the possessions of the Gonzaga family in Volta Mantovana.\u2028From the 18th century onwards, it is documented as a working rural estate, set amid cypresses and oaks.<\/p>\n

In the 20th century, the property extended over more than 15 hectares, enclosed by walls where capers grow and surrounded by olive trees. The complex\u2014comprising dwelling, stable, barn, porticoes, and a dovecote tower\u2014was built of morainic cobblestones, with wooden roofs and ancient vaults.<\/p>\n

Today, Corte Baruzzo is reborn, balancing memory and vision: a place that preserves its rural soul while opening to the future, with elegance and authenticity.<\/p>\n

Stone, lime, and reclaimed bricks and tiles tell a story of continuity with the past, while wood once again supports floors and roofs, just as it did centuries ago.<\/p>\n

Some recent, disharmonious additions were removed, allowing the property\u2019s authentic beauty to re-emerge. At the same time, energy efficiency and sustainability have become part of its rebirth: advanced heating and cooling systems, solar panels, and a photovoltaic plant ensure respect for the environment and a conscious use of resources.<\/p>\n
